The Gospel of John chapter 15 verses 1-8 and

so that it will be even more fruitful. 3You are already clean because of the word I
have spoken to you. 4Remain
in me, and I will remain in you. No branch can bear fruit by itself; it must
remain in the vine. Neither can you bear fruit unless you remain in me. 5"I am the vine; you are
the branches. If a man remains in me and I in him, he will bear much fruit;
apart from me you can do nothing. 6If
anyone does not remain in me, he is like a branch that is thrown away and
withers; such branches are picked up, thrown into the fire and burned. 7If you remain in me and my
words remain in you, ask whatever you wish, and it will be given you. 8This is to my Father's
glory, that you bear much fruit, showing yourselves to be my disciples. 9"As the Father has
loved me, so have I loved you. Now remain in my love. 10If you obey my commands, you will remain in my
love, just as I have obeyed my Father's commands and remain in his love. 11I have told you this so
that my joy may be in you and that your joy may be complete. 12My command is this: Love

love has no one than this, that he lay down his life for his friends. 14You are my friends if you

no longer call you servants, because a servant does not know his master's

from my Father I have made known to you. 16You did not choose me, but I chose you and
appointed you to go and bear fruit—fruit that will last. Then the Father will

is my command: Love each other. ------ ------ St Paul’s Letter to the Romans
chapter 12 verses1, 2 and 9-13 ----- Love,
actually! If I speak in the tongues of mortals and of angels, ----- Committing
to each other St Paul’s Letter to the Ephesians chapter 5, verses 21-33 21Submit
to one another out of reverence for Christ. 22Wives,
submit to your husbands as to the Lord. 23For the husband is the head of the wife as Christ
is the head of the church, his body, of which he is the Savior. 24Now as the church submits
to Christ, so also wives should submit to their husbands in everything. 25Husbands, love your wives,
just as Christ loved the church and gave himself up for her 26to make her holy, cleansing[b]
her by the washing with water through the word, 27and to present her to himself as a radiant
church, without stain or wrinkle or any other blemish, but holy and
blameless. 28In this same way,
husbands ought to love their wives as their own bodies. He who loves his wife
loves himself. 29After all, no one ever
hated his own body, but he feeds and cares for it, just as Christ does the
church— 30for we are members
of his body. 31"For this
reason a man will leave his father and mother and be united to his wife, and
the two will become one flesh."[c]
32This is a profound
mystery—but I am talking about Christ and the church. 33However, each one of you also must love his
wife as he loves himself, and the wife must respect her husband. ----- Seeing
the good side… St Paul’s Letter to the Philippians chapter 4, verses 4 – 9 4Rejoice
in the Lord always. I will say it again: Rejoice! 5Let your gentleness
be evident to all. The Lord is near. 6Do not be anxious about
anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving,
present your requests to God. 7And the peace of God, which transcends
all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. 8Finally, brothers, whatever is true, whatever is
noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is
admirable—if anything is excellent or praiseworthy—think about such things. 9Whatever
you have learned or received or heard from me, or seen in me—put it into
practice. And the God of peace will be with you. ----- Getting
the perfect relationship St Paul’s Letter to the Colossians chapter 3, verses 12 – 17 12Therefore,
as God's chosen people, holy and dearly loved, clothe yourselves with
compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness and patience. 13Bear with
each other and forgive whatever grievances you may have against one another.
Forgive as the Lord forgave you. 14And over all these virtues put on
love, which binds them all together in perfect unity. 15Let the peace of
Christ rule in your hearts, since as members of one body you were called to
peace. And be thankful. 16Let
the word of Christ dwell in you richly as you teach and admonish one another
with all wisdom, and as you sing psalms, hymns and spiritual songs with
gratitude in your hearts to God. 17And
whatever you do, whether in word or deed, do it all in the name of the Lord
Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him. ----- |
