	FUNERALS At St Michael and All Angels church we are able to offer a funeral service for the life of your relative or friend or, if you wish a service which also includes elements of thanksgiving for their lives and for all they mean to you. In the first instance our Vicar, Camilla, will come and visit you at your home if possible and listen to your ideas and hopes. It may be that your loved one has left specific instructions and as far as we are able we will try to afford all that you ask. Anyone who lives in the parish of Beaconsfield is entitled to have a service at the church of St Michael and All Angels, or at the other two churches in the team, St Thomas', Holtspur, and St Mary and All Saints, Beaconsfield Old Town. At St Michael’s we do not have an open church yard so any burials take place at the cemetery of your arranging; however we do have a lovely garden of Remembrance where we can accommodate ashes.  A few weeks after the funeral you may like to attend a short service for your loved one in our Garden or Remembrance when your loved one’s ashes can be interred. A Book of Remembrance is kept in St Michael and All Angels Church. From this page you will see that we offer some ideas of Readings that have been found useful to others in the past. There are readings from the Bible and some poems, extracts from books that may be what you are looking for. The most important thing is to find something that either speaks about the person you are arranging the service for, or depicts something that you feel is part of what they mean to you and others. We also offer a hymn list but it may be you would like some other hymn or other music that is important to your family. Wherever possible we are happy to accommodate your wishes, but ask that any special music be burned onto a CD, separate CDs for each track. Finally there is a suggested outline for a service booklet for you to look at.
