THE ALPHA COURSE is an opportunity for anyone to explore the Christian faith. Alpha is for everyone and is free. Come to the first session and then decide if you want to continue for the following 9 evenings.

The Beaconsfield Alpha is run together by most of the churches in Beaconsfield. In 2010 it will be held in the Fitzwilliam Centre behind St Mary’s Church. Alpha begins with an introductory evening on Thursday, 23 September 2010 with supper at 7.00pm.

The ALPHA Course is a great way to explore the Christian Faith and to get to know new people. It's relaxed, low key friendly and fun. Listen. learn, discuss and discover.

Each evening begins with supper at 7.00pm and finishes at 9.45pm. Then there is a talk and you then meet in groups to discuss what you have heard. Ask anything! Alpha is a place where no question is too simple or too hostile.

It continues over 10 evenings. There is no charge, just a small voluntary contribution to the meal.

· The total number of people who have been on an Alpha course in the UK since 1993 is 2,698,000

· It is estimated that over 15 million people worldwide have now attended an Alpha course

· Alpha is held in universities and has been held in over 80% of the UK’s prisons.
