We are situated in
Beaconsfield New Town, at the end of Our
main service is our 10am Sunday
Communion, where there are hymns, Bible readings, prayers, a sermon and
the celebration of communion. We
also have a Communion service without
hymns in the Lady Chapel at 8.00am each Sunday – at 8.00am we often use
the Book of Common Prayer which dates back over four hundred and fifty years. Each
Sunday there is a crèche in the hall from 9.50am. On the
first Sunday of each month at 9.15am for about 40 minutes we have The Early Bird Service in the hall
for the 0-5s with their parents and carers, when about 30 families come along
to a children-friendly little service with singing, usually with a play and
much more. The children and parents
stay for a long time afterwards for drinks, biscuits and to socialise and
chat. On the
second Sunday of each month at 10am we have a Family Service in the church in which the children participate. On the
fourth Sunday of each month from 9.45am we have the Sunday Club in the hall for our 3-12 year olds, when we have
games, singing, teaching and fun. The
children come into church near the end of the service and join us for
communion. On
Fridays during term time mothers and toddlers gather in the hall at ‘Bulrushes’
when pre-school children and their parents and carers meet; the children play
with lots of toys and the parents chat.
There are drinks and biscuits for everyone during the morning. We also
conduct many weddings, baptisms and
funerals each year, so if we can help you with any of those services,
please follow the links at the top of this page or our Home page or contact
our office 01494 673464. Each
year we have a Spring Fair with
plants, stalls, games for the children, food and drinks and much more. In November each year we have a Christmas Fair with lots of things to
buy for Christmas and lots to enjoy.
Drinks and eats are there too.
Other social events take place as well during the year. We have an excellent purpose built hall. The main hall has a kitchen and toilets and can accommodate
90 people for a meal. There are two further meeting rooms adjoining
the main hall which can be made into one larger room with a separate kitchen
and toilets. The Hall is used by the community for regular events;
please click on the link ‘St Michael’s
Hall’ on the left for more information and a contact number. We are
